If the candidate has an occupational health and safety certificate, it will be considered an asset. The candidate should have knowledge of Federal occupational health and safety legislation. The candidate should be eligible to get enhance to reliability security clearance. If the candidate has a professional certification in workplace safety and risk management, it will make their resume strong at the time of hiring.

Experience needed for the position

The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working in an occupational safety and health advisory position. They should have experience in manufacturing facilities and production operations. The candidate should have exposure to a chemical environment. If the candidate has worked in a public sector environment, it will be considered an asset.
