The candidate should have a Secondary School diploma and a diploma of Intervenor for Deafblind, Support Specialist certification. The candidate should also have certification in first aid and CPR. You have a certificate in a behaviour management system or an equivalent behaviour support programme. If the candidate has extra education in professional child development or special education, it will be valuable during the hiring process.

Experience needed for the position

The candidate should have previous experience working with children and youth who are impaired or have developmental disabilities. The candidate should have experience in helping students with education or in a childcare environment.
