The candidate should have a degree in civil engineering or any other related field. They should be registered as a professional engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario. The candidates should have a valid Ontario driver’s licence. If the candidate has certification in project management or infrastructure management, it will be considered an asset and will help the candidate for long-term professional growth. The candidates should have knowledge of transportation engineering and Highway design. They should have an understanding of the legislation of Engineering and environmental regulations.

Experience needed for the position

The candidates should have experience leading medium to large-scale transportation or civil infrastructure projects. They should have experience in managing the project budget and schedules. The candidates should have experience in procurement activities and engagement with the stakeholders. The candidate should also have good knowledge of risk assessment. They should know how to get approvals from regulatory bodies. The candidate should be able to look after the consultant and engineering team and guide them about the work.
