The Ottawa Public Health is currently looking to hire dedicated candidates for the position of Dental Hygienists. The job location is at different places across Ottawa, Ontario. The candidate should have a three year accredited dental hygiene diploma. They should be registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. The selected candidate will get an annual salary of $70,155.54 to $85,368.92. The last date to apply is June 30, 2026. 

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for promoting oral health in diverse communities in Ottawa. They will do dental screenings. They will perform a preventive oral care procedure. The candidate will educate patients on oral hygiene practices. They will help with public dental health programs. The candidate will work with children, senior citizens and vulnerable populations with school and community outreach programs. 

Required Qualification:

The candidate should have successfully completed 3 year diploma from an accredited dental hygiene program recognised in Canada. They should be registered as a dental hygienist with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO). 

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have 3 years of experience working in a dental office. They should have experience working with clients from different age groups and cultural backgrounds. 

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good communication skills. They should be good at using dental software. The candidate should be good at teamwork. They should be adaptable. The candidate should be culturally sensitive.
