Job Description

Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat is looking to hire a dedicated candidate for the Advanced Policy Analyst Program (APAP). The job location is based in Ottawa and Gatineau. The position is open for members of the indigenous communities. The candidate should have a higher education degree from an institution in Canada. Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will analyse different types of problems in the policies and then help to reframe the parts of the policies. They will help in writing the briefing notes and summaries for the ease of understanding of common public. They will work with the seniors and help them to make decisions regarding the policies. They will collaborate with the stakeholders who are invested in the projects. They will work with the agencies in the country.

Professional Qualification:

The candidate should have a Master’s degree, a PhD or a law degree from a university. They should have a minimum average of 80% in the subjects collectively.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have experience in volunteering. They should be committed to work. The candidate should have done policy research and analytical work previously.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good analytical skills. They should have good communication skills to interact with the colleagues. They should be able to write information into actionable steps for everyone to easily understand. They should be adaptable. They should have problem solving skills.
