They will be responsible for operating the Computer-Aided Dispatch systems. The candidate will determine the emergency response resources based on the information provided by the caller. They will coordinate the ambulance and take care of emergency response activities. The candidate will communicate with the police and fire department. They will provide pre-arrival medical instructions, like CPR guidance to the caller. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining records and updating incident information in real-time response.

Professional qualifications of the candidate

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent education to apply for this position. They should be able to successfully complete the CritiCall pre-employment testing. The candidate should have a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute with 90% accuracy. The candidate should be able to get a security clearance and a criminal record check. The candidate should be able to complete the ETP training program. The candidate should have an ambulance communications officer certificate. They should be able to get a restricted radio operator certificate within 30 days of employment.
