The candidate should have a skilled trade certification recognised by the Ontario government or equivalent experience. The candidate should have current first aid certification. They should have knowledge of WHMIS and workplace safety awareness. The candidate should have a current Heart Saver certification to apply for the work, as it will increase their chances of getting the job. . If the candidate has additional technical training in building maintenance or a related field, it will be considered an asset.

Experience needed for the position

The candidate should know how to read the blueprints and interpret the technical drawings.
