Job Description

Netflix Animation Studios is looking to hire a candidate for the position of Matte Painting Supervisor. The job location will be Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This is a full time job opportunity. The selected candidate will get a salary of $180,000 to $230,000 on per year basis. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, digital media or a related field. The last date to apply for this position is not specified. 

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for leading Matte Painters and Technical artists at the office by assigning work to them. They will collaborate with the head of environment and art leadership to tell them about the visual directions. They will make sure that the production standards are met. The candidate will review the work and provide actionable feedback so that the quality can be improved. They will document the workflows. The candidate will help with recruitment and on boarding of new staff. 

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in animation, visual effects, fine arts, digital media or a related field. They should have good proficiency in Photoshop, and they should have knowledge of 3D software. 

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have strong experience in digital matte painting. They should have experience in a leading position. They should have a good portfolio related to integrated 2D and 2.5D. The candidate should have experience collaborating with technical teams for efficient work.

The candidate should have leadership skills. They should pay attention to detail. They should have good communication skills. They should be able to manage difficult schedules. They should have problem solving mind set.
