Netflix Animation Studios is looking to hire a dedicated candidate for the position of Software Engineer,  Procedural Geometry & Simulation. The job location will be Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada or Sydney, Australia. This is a full time and hybrid job opportunity. The candidate should have a qualification in computer science, mathematics or a related field. The selected candidate will get a competitive salary. Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for developing the tools for fur, hair, clothes and effects. They will help with the simulation toolset. They will mix up the tools and produce integrated effects. The candidate will collaborate with the artists for a creative outlook. They will write code in C++.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field. They should have good knowledge of C++. They should have knowledge of Unix and Linux OS. The candidate should have knowledge of numerical simulations.

Experience Needed:

The candidate should have 3 years of experience  in VFX, animation or games. They should have experience in geometric generations. They should have experience with GPU programming. The candidate should have experience optimizing code.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should have good maths skills. They should have good problem solving skills. They should have good communication skills. They should have good collaboration skills.
