Key responsibilities of the candidate

The candidate will monitor the levels of laundry supplies and chemicals in the inventory. They will clean and sanitize the Laundry Equipment and workspaces. If there is any malfunction in the Laundry Equipment, the candidate will report it to the seniors. The candidate will supervise the offenders and provide instructions to them about proper laundry procedure. The candidate will comply with institutional security protocols. They will help with operational planning to make sure that laundry demands are met regularly.

Professional qualifications of the candidate

The candidate should have knowledge of industrial or commercial laundry operations. They should have knowledge of fabric care and wash cycles. The candidate should be familiar with WHMIS. The candidate should have knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. They should be able to work in a correctional environment. The candidates should be able to successfully complete the background and security screening process.

Experience needed for the position

The candidates should have experience in operating industrial laundry machines and equipment. They should have experience in managing inventory and supply records. The candidate should have experience of supervision and training the staff. The candidate should be able to maintain productivity and also meet operational deadlines. The candidate should have experience in cleaning and maintaining the facility.
