Pay and Benefits Specialist – Level 05 (Junior) and Level 06

Job Description

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service is looking to hire Pay and Benefits Specialists at Level 05 and Level 06. The location of the job will be Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. These are full time and permanent positions for the candidates. The candidates will get a chance to provide guidance and transactional support related to pay, benefits and pensions in compliance with the legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the selected candidates will be to administer and coordinate the pay and benefit services like employee counselling and documentations. They will maintain accurate employee records. They will liaise with the government officers, insurance companies and financial institutions. They will draft correspondence for employees.

Qualification:

For Level 05, the candidates are required to have a college diploma and 2 years of experience or a high school diploma and 4 years of experience. For Level 06, the candidates are required to have a college diploma and 3 years of experience or a high school diploma and 4 years of experience. The candidates should be bilingual.

Experience:

The candidates should have recently worked in providing pay and benefits services. For Level 06, the candidates should be trained as Pay Specialists using the Phoenix Pay System.

Skills and Competencies:

The candidate should be adaptable. They should have analytical skills. They should pay attention to details. They should have the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.

 Benefits

For Level 05, the salary will be $73,008 – $88,809 per year. For Level 05, the salary will be $84,783 – $103,124 per year. There will be opportunities for further career development.
